WILLISTON, N.D. -- A judge has ordered a former Williston cab driver to serve six years in prison for raping a woman who was a passenger in 2017.
WILLISTON, N.D. -- A 62-year-old Williston man pleaded guilty Monday to sexually assaulting a 3-year-old last year. James White pleaded guilty in a plea-bargain to a class A felony count of gross sexual imposition during a brief hearing. A sentencing hearing in the case is scheduled for Oct. 8. He faces up to almost 13 years in prison.
WILLISTON, N.D.. -- A man who was a teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School in Williston is now facing three more felony gross sexual imposition charges. Everest Moore, 28, was charged Monday with three more counts, bringing the total number he’s facing to eight. Little information was available from court records on the latest charges. Instead of a written affidavit of probable cause, the charges were filed using verbal testimony from investigators.
WILLISTON, N.D. -- Prosecutors say a 22-year-old man accused of breaking into a Williston home Friday morning, June 8, and trying to stab an 11-year-old boy in the head was so intoxicated he couldn’t tell police what year or day it was. Gary Red Eagle III was charged Monday with burglary and attempted aggravated assault, both class B felonies, and terrorizing, a class C felony. He was ordered held on $50,000 bond.
WILLISTON, N.D. -- A 19-year-old man was sentenced Monday, June 4, to serve two years in prison for firing a gun at a Williston home last year. Gage Cox pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, a class B felony, reckless endangerment and two counts of theft, all class C felonies. He also pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy in a separate case involving a theft from an apartment.
WILLISTON, N.D. -- A 24-year-old man was ordered held on $150,000 bond after police say he tried to hit a McKenzie County Sheriff deputy while fleeing officers. Donovan Counts Jr. was arrested Tuesday, May 29, and charged with possession of stolen property, a class B felony, reckless endangerment and fleeing a police officer in a vehicle, both class C felonies and misdemeanor charges of possession methamphetamine, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
WILLISTON, N.D. -- A 56-year-old man admitted Wednesday, May 16, that he’d sexually assaulted two people in December 2016 as part of a plea agreement. Scott Martin pleaded guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition, a class A felony. Under the agreement presented to Northwest District Judge Benjamen Johnson, Martin would be sentenced to eight years in prison, with one year suspended. He would have to serve five years of supervised probation after being released from prison and also register as a sex offender.
WILLISTON, N.D. -- A 20-year-old man is accused of breaking into five businesses and stealing jewelry, tools, packs of cigarettes, energy drinks, thousands in cash and a handgun. Hunter Kreager was charged Thursday with five class C felony counts of burglary, two class C felony counts of possession of stolen property, five misdemeanor counts of possession of stolen property and three misdemeanor drug charges. Police say he broke into the businesses between the evening hours of May 3 through the early morning hours of Monday.

WILLISTON, N.D. -- An 18-year-old man already facing accusations that he stole a gun from a car, used that gun to shoot at a home and car, and that he broke into a Williston apartment, has been charged with shooting up an oil well site just outside of Williston. Gage Cox has been charged with conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, a class B felony. Police claim that in August 2017, Cox used an AR-15 rifle that he’d stolen from a truck in Williston to shoot at a power supply box and two tanks at a Statoil well site.
